Complimentary Wi-Fi is provided at Hilltop Retreat as a convenience for our guests. This guide outlines acceptable use, performance expectations, and important guidelines to ensure a secure, reliable, and respectful internet experience for everyone. Please review before or during your stay to avoid disruptions, protect smart-home systems, and understand responsibilities related to network use.

• Wi-Fi access is provided for general personal use such as browsing, streaming, and light remote work.

• Network details are also provided in the kitchen on the upper level of the home.

• Guests may not share Wi-Fi credentials with non-registered visitors or neighbouring properties.

• Hilltop Retreat does not guarantee uninterrupted service and is not responsible for outages beyond our control.

Please note that Wi-Fi interruptions do not qualify for refunds or discounts.

💼 Remote Work Disclaimer

While many guests successfully work remotely from the property:

• Wi-Fi is not guaranteed to meet professional or mission-critical needs

• Guests requiring guaranteed uptime should bring a backup hotspot

🚫 Prohibited Use

The following are not permitted on the Hilltop Retreat network:

• Illegal downloading, file-sharing, or piracy

• Accessing or distributing unlawful or explicit content

• Attempting to bypass network security, routers, or smart systems

• Using the network for commercial hosting, mining, or high-bandwidth automation

Any activity that violates Canadian law or ISP terms may result in immediate termination of internet access and potential charges.

For safety and operations, certain systems take priority:

• Security & monitoring systems

• Pool, hot tub, HVAC, and safety devices

• Smart TVs and internal controls

Guests should not unplug, reset, or tamper with routers, extenders, or network equipment.
