Do you host corporate retreats or events?Yes! Hilltop Retreat is an excellent venue for corporate retreats, team-building getaways, strategy sessions, and executive meetings. With a mix of professional and recreational amenities, it offers a unique setting for both work and leisure. For day events, our indoor (7,000+ sq/ft) and outdoor (2 acres) spaces can transform and comfortably host small to medium-sized gatherings. The open-concept design allows for flexible seating arrangements, and the natural lighting creates a comfortable working or festive environment.

Do you facilitate events and excursions?While we do not directly offer facilitation, we can be hired as contractors to help execute your plans.

Are children allowed?We do welcome children of all ages. Please note that there are no sleeping accommodations for young children, but you are more than welcome to bring their sleepers. Walking children are considered full guests. Please note: the property is not child-proofed. Guests are fully responsible for supervising children at all times, especially around potential hazards such as the indoor pool, hot tub, fireplace, stairs, and outdoor areas.

Are pets allowed?We do welcome dogs. They are an additional $60.00 per dog, per night, to a maximum of 2. Other pets or wildlife are prohibited unless expressly approved in writing by the owner prior to arrival. Failure to advise can result in immediate termination of the reservation and/or forfeit your security deposit. Should you to wish to bring pets, we kindly request that you keep all pets off of furniture and monitor/clean up after them with their own personal belongings. No cats.

How many guests can be accommodated?The Hilltop Retreat can accommodate 10 guests comfortably, 2 guests per bed/room. Additional fees are incurred for excess guests, to a final maximum of 14.

What is included in my stay?Our newly-renovated 7000+ sq/ft villa offers an exquisite experience with a range of premium amenities, and features stunning panoramic vistas overlooking Rice Lake. Included in your getaway: Ample Parking 5 Bedrooms (With Linens) Free Wi-Fi + Entertainment Fully Equipped Kitchen + BBQ Pool + Hot Tub Fitness Room Billiards Room Lounge + Fireplace 2 Acres of Land Please note that meals, toiletries, and outdoor equipment are not included with your stay.

Is the property wheelchair accessible?Currently, Hilltop Retreat is not fully wheelchair accessible. While some areas may be accessible with assistance, the property does have stairs and other features that may pose challenges. We recognize the importance of accessibility and are exploring options to improve this in the future. If you have specific needs, feel free to reach out, and we’ll do our best to accommodate where possible.

Assistance + Rental AgreementYou can make a reservation here, on this website, or any of our other booking platform partners, available on our booking page. If you would like us to manage your reservation or require assistance, please reach out to us. A deposit or full payment and a copy of valid ID is required to secure your reservation. An aged 30+ guarantor is required. Once you have returned your contract, you will be able to pay the security deposit, as well as pay the remaining balance in full. Full payments must be made no later than 14 days prior to check-in.

Once you have returned your contract, you will be able to pay the security deposit, as well as pay the remaining balance in full. At the end of your stay, the property and surrounding premises are expected to remain in its original condition. Failure to comply to terms and conditions, or incurred damages can result in a deduction or entire forfeit of the security deposit, pending assessment. The security deposit is fully refundable within 72 hours of check-out, provided there has been no damage or misuse of the property. Security deposit are recommended to be paid by e-transfer so that it can be seamlessly returned by e-transfer. Please email us at escape@hilltopretreat.ca for e-transfer instructions.

Liability + InsuranceThe guests acknowledges and agrees to assume all risks associated with the use of the Property, security, and its amenities. The owner or employees are not responsible for any injury, loss, or damage to persons or property during the rental period. Guests are encouraged to obtain independent or travel insurance to cover any unforeseen events, including but not limited to cancellations, medical emergencies, or damages during the stay. Misuse of the property includes, but is not limited to: Smoking, vaping, damages, unauthorized events, illegal activities, unauthorized guests, excessive noise, neighbour disruption, littering, pets on furniture, children or pets unattended, and failure to adhere to the house rules provided. Unauthorized use of the premises will result in the termination of the rental agreement, forfeiture of the security deposit, and possible excess fees.
