To make your stay as seamless as possible, Hilltop Retreat supports grocery, food, and essential supply delivery directly to the property.

Because Hilltop Retreat is a rural destination, couriers often travel 20+ minutes each way to complete a delivery. If possible, we kindly encourage guests to tip their courier, ideally in cash as many drivers rely heavily on tips, and cash tips ensure they receive the full amount without tax deductions. This small gesture goes a long way and helps ensure continued delivery service to the area.

Grocery Delivery

Guests may place orders through popular grocery delivery services available in the area, such as InstaCart, and DoorDash. Delivery availability and time windows may vary based on time, season, and demand.

Delivery Coverage Area

Hilltop Retreat is located between two main service hubs:

• Cobourg (approximately 20 minutes south)

• Peterborough (approximately 30 minutes north)

Most grocery, food, and supply deliveries servicing the property will originate from these areas. As a result, availability may be more limited and delivery times may be longer than in urban centres. Please ensure the full address is entered correctly and that delivery instructions are clear, as GPS accuracy can vary in rural areas.

Helpful tips:

• Aim to schedule deliveries in advance, especially for weekends and holidays

• The earlier, the better. Rural delivery windows significantly decrease with time

• Double-check substitutions and quantities before checkout to avoid delay

• Provide clear delivery instructions and be prepared to assist the courier

• Alcohol deliveries require valid government-issued ID and the recipient must be present

  
  

Restaurant & Takeout Delivery

Select restaurants in nearby towns may offer delivery, depending on distance and weather conditions. Availability is more limited than in urban areas, so planning in advance is strongly recommended.

• Couriers may leave items at the entrance door

For the smoothest experience, we recommend placing delivery orders 1–2 days before arrival and advising us of the drop-off the morning of delivery.
